Mornin* was a musical group of six strange creatures, a mano, a bubbloid, a mushrooman, a treeman, a smokeling, a poppyman and a star on Planet Nawana centuries ago. They knew, they had a seventh member, but it stuck in a star somehow, somewhere in the Universe. When they played music, their souls could fly out of their bodies and travel in space, so they could search for their mate. Since they disappeared some hundred years ago, people guessed they found the star, and stayed there, but no one knows certainly what happened to them.

Hundreds of years past, Planet Nawana changed, and most of the people lost their connection with Xeloren, The Spirit World. Nowadays, only some of them hold their weak connections to the spirits, trying to explore the ancient knowledge of their ancestors, with communicating those souls, who still talk to any human being. They usually call themselves "urban or modern shamans", and one of them is named Ben Mornin, a simple guy from the streets of Kandlaran. He is a guitarist and producer, and he was 18, when he first met with Mornin* in an old historical book. Ben started to inquire after the band, but the informations of it were not too much. Then he finally found a Mornin* sheet music of the song called "Among the Bubble Trees", and when he first played it, Ben realised that his destiny is to explore and collect the songs of Mornin*, as much as possible, then perform them to people.
